Description
Breakaway halter designed for the GreenGuard Grazing Muzzle. These comes with padded nose, breakaway crown, adjustable throat and noseband. The center face strap can be removed if desired, which keeps the noseband from being pulled down and provides extra stability.

I think it has been worth the extra money to buy the greenguard halter together with the muzzle – keeps the straps in the right place and prevents any rubbing on my horse’s face, very happy with this product.

Thought at first that this was well worth the extra expense ($70 versus $25 or less) but the velcro breakaway system is stronger than the head strap webbing so now I have a broken halter which will be a pain to repair as head strap buckle and length of webbing is somewhere in the long grass. I am now using a cheap bulk buy halter which I know will break if it gets caught up. It will be easier to construct my own poll to nose strap than mend the Greenguard.

Unfortunately my pony is so clever at getting the halter off ?? I make it fairly firm on her but she manages to rub it off on a fence ! I guess I would have to it her in total electrical tape. Or if you have any other solution??
